Welcome! Thank-you for visiting my website! I wanted to take a minute to tell you a little bit about myself and my teaching background.
This is my thirteenth year teaching at the elementary school level, but my first year at Pinecrest. Thank you to everyone that welcomed me to Sylacauga City Schools and Pinecrest Elementary. I am meeting so many new faces everyday! My best buddies this year are the teachers and students in Ms. Felkins' and Ms. Harmon's classes. We are working together to be the best 4th grade learners possible!
Prior to my visit to the Sylacauga City Schools, I taught in Birmingham, Alabama, Macon, Georgia, and Gainesville, Florida. As you can tell from my teaching experience, I have been lucky enough to travel and live around the world, having lived in Florida, Georgia, Texas, Washington D.C., South Dakota, and Germany. I graduated from high school in Wichita Falls, Texas, but moved back 'home' to Florida to attend college at the University of Florida. Yes, that means that I am a Gator fan! :-)
I have a huband named Mike and a daughter, Kristi. Mike and I currently live by Lake Martin with our two dogs, Carson and Bentley. Kristi is a senior in college and attends the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. You could say that football season gets pretty exciting around our house!
